Our good friends, Todd and Nichole, asked us to be in their wedding on Aug 23rd. So, of course, we packed up the car and headed on down a few days before and enjoyed a nice long weekend in Charleston. Good thing we are used to hot and muggy here in Virginia Beach because it was just that. Luckily, Todd and Nichole have a big air conditioned home where I spent most of the time! We did go on a bus tour of Charleston with the rest of the families and got to see a lot of the historic areas. The houses are just incredible with there piazzas, not porches, and I could just pictures myself sitting out on one enjoying a mint julep. The few days leading up to the wedding there was still lots of things that needed to get done and Josh didn't disappoint! After all was said and done he was dubbed "the ultimate groomsmen" by the rest of the wedding party. If you know Josh you know that when it comes to these things he thinks of EVERYTHING and makes sure it all happens too! He is very proud of his new title and we are seriously thinking about renting out his services! But the wedding was absolutely beautiful and Josh and I were so glad we were able to enjoy that special day with the newleyweds. We are so happy for them both!

Our trip to Charleston

Fun in the sun
We had a great time with Evan this summer getting out and enjoying the outdoors. It was quite different than last year, it's so amazing how much they grow in a year! Evan is running all over the place now and very curious about his surroundings. It's been tiring at times but we've had lots of fun times together this summer. We've enjoyed trips to Busch Gardens, the beach, the zoo and discovered a lot of neat parks in Virginia Beach. After all that though, I think Evan's favorite thing this summer has been his push car. It's big enough for him to ride in and he just loves me pushing him all over the neighborhood in it. I guess it worked out for both of us because it was great exercise too!
