Easter 2010

Easter was lot's of fun this year! Evan came downstairs in the morning to see two Easter baskets, one from us and one from grandma and grandpa. We went to church for Easter service then came back home to do an Easter egg hunt for Evan. I think I probably should have hid them a little harder because he knew just what to do and didn't have much trouble finding them! He even stopped a few times to open up an egg and eat a piece of candy! Later on we went over to our neighbors and had dinner. Josh took Evan and Charlie outside after dinner to play with Evan's bubble maker. The boys had lots of fun with that! I think we all had a really nice day.

"Without Easter, there would be no hope of heaven. Without the hope of heaven, there would be no repentance, no personal transformation, no attempt to follow biblical principles. Without Easter, the world would be in chaos and darkness. Jesus’ death and resurrection means we can be reborn, to live better, to do better, ...to shine light into the shadows. Hallelujah! Happy, Happy Easter." ~ Joanna Fuchs

Evan's 2nd birthday party

The Sunday before Evan's birthday, we had a party for him at the house. I wanted to do a Handy Manny theme, since that's his favorite cartoon, but couldn't find any Handy Manny party decorations. So we went with a Mickey Mouse clubhouse theme which he likes too. He got a ton of Handy manny toys, though! We had a few family and friends over and Evan had lots of fun playing with our neighbors little boy, Charlie and our sitters daughter, Kaelyn. I hope this year is as good as the last!
