In February we had three consecutive weekends of snow! More than Hampton Roads has seen in over 10 years. The first snowfall brought the most accumulation, about 8-10 inches. Since we don't usually get much snow in this area, the city was not prepared at all. They were only able to plow the main roads and were still slow at that. So we played it safe and stayed in most of the weekend. On the second day, I bundled Evan up and we went outside to play in the snow for a while. He wasn't really sure what to make of it at first and didn't even want to walk in it. But after a while he started having fun picking up the snow and throwing it. It took me a while to get him back inside! The next two weekends brought more snow but just a dusting. I think everyone started to get "cabin fever" after a while but it was really pretty to see being that we might not get that kind of snowfall for another 10 years!
