How time flies

I can't believe how long it's been since my last post. The spring has been going by so quickly, it's hard to believe May is only around the corner. We celebrated Evan's 1st birthday a bit early. My mom came to visit the first week of March so we celebrated on the 8th so she could be a part of it. I made a cake and we set up our canopy in the front yard. Mom decorated under it with balloons and streamers. Just a few family and friends came but everyone had a great time watching Evan open his presents and eat a piece of his birthday cake. He got lots of new toys including set of legos and a sand box/wading pool from Grandma and Grandpa Andrews.

My mom and I decided to take Evan and go visit great-grandma in Florida the rest of the week. It was a wonderful visit. Grandma McCue couldn't get over how easy going Evan was through the whole trip. We had a great time taking him to the pool and going for walks around town. I hadn't been to visit in quite a few years so it was neat to see how much the community has grown. They've put up a whole new Town square area with a bunch of shops and restaurants around it all in a coastal New England theme.

On Evan's actual birthday, March 31st, we went out to eat with my stepson, Ryan and our friend, Todd. It didn't seem possible that he was turning one, but he is and he's wonderful. We're are looking forward to the summer and the fun times that will bring, especially Evan trying out his new pool!
